Rail projects

Patterson Building Group Pty Limited was appointed by RailCorp as head contractor to undertake the upgrade of an existing Electrical Substation known as Meeks Road Substation, Marrickville.   Works involve the building of a new amenities room, alterations to various switch rooms within the Substation and alterations to existing external structures.

Patterson Building Group Pty Limited was engaged by Laing O’Rourke to undertake the construction of Platform 5 and extensions to the concourse at Hornsby Railway Station.  The concourse works involved the demolition of part of the concourse, extension of offices, new windows, wall and ceiling linings, floor coverings and painting.  The platform works involved construction of platform 5 adjoining platform 4 to full length, construction of new stairs, stair landing and new lift; construction of awnings and roof sheeting; construction of concourse supporting structural steel, tiling and tactile indicators and painting.  The works involved the significant management of the train commuters, public and visitors, including on site co-ordination of our own secondary subcontractors and other subcontractors appointed by Laing O’Rourke. 

Trackfast Warehouse Building

Construction of Zone 2, Railcorp

Patterson Building Group was engaged on behalf of Laing O’Rourke (BMC) Pty Limited to undertake the construction of Zone 2 – Trackfast and Warehouse Building. The works involved the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of new offices, amenities, warehouse alterations and hardstand paving for truck access.
